A zorb ball is simply a giant inflatable sphere. You get in it, someone blows it up, and then you proceed to roll around the zorb ball downhills of various slopes. People will often be zorbing on grassy hills or small mounds of dirt into mud puddles.
Zorb balls come in different sizes depending on who can fit inside comfortably with some room to spare. The most common zorb balls are about seven feet (2m) in diameter, but they go as large as ten (3m) feet in diameter or more! These things are big enough for people to ride through water features like fountains. The zorb ball itself is typically made of flexible, firm plastic. It has dual air chambers with zippers sewn in if one chamber fails for any reason.
How to play a zorb ball?
The zorb ball rider needs to step inside and zip it up. If you are using a zorb ball indoors or outdoors on smooth floors, there are just two zippers you must close to keep yourself rolled up inside the zorb ball. Other zorbs have six zippers that require careful attention, or else your ride will not be as smooth as hoped for! Once you are zipped into the zorb roll, down slopes at moderate speeds where one can enjoy being 'rolled' like this for hours!
There is a zorb ball here in the US called the zorbing ball on a stick that can serve as a zorb ball or as a toy for a dog who likes to fetch. It's a zorb ball with an arm and handles up top so you can throw it like a spear. The zorbing balls on a stick zorb come with either one or two zippers depending on whether or not your dog is one of that ' mouth first' dogs!
