What Qualifies As Safety Footwear

Prior to today's modern safety shoes, safety shoes for men and women were designed with only a safety toe. These shoes were historically made of steel, but eventually included aluminium, composite and carbon fibre toes.

According to OSHA Standard 1910.132(d)(1), employers must evaluate the workplace to determine if the hazard requires PPE.
