In recent years, several strange words that we hear are “zorbing”. What is this unknown thing, and what is its use? Today, let's discuss what this mysterious zorbing is?
The popularity of zorbing is growing rapidly in the world, what is it, exactly? In fact, it is a game that allows people to get into a giant, transparent, and inflatable zorb ball ride down a hill, walk on the surface of water or even play games with others on flat ground.
The history of zorbing
Zorbing was created by two kiwis, Andrew Akers and Dwane van der Sluis, in 1994, who wanted to create a new “off the wall” attraction. They certainly achieved that and more with zorbing which is also now found across the world.
How long will zorbing last?
Zorbing can last up to 30~40 seconds, how long it will last depends on the track you choose and the trajectory your zorb ball will go. This might not sound like much but in the context of adrenaline activities (where bungy jumping lasts a few seconds and skydiving lasts a few more), it’s actually quite long.
On your way down you’ll also reach speeds of up to 50 km/h while rotating 360° inside the zorb ball trying your best to keep your mind clear without screaming too much.
Is zorbing safe?
Yes, it is. Thanks to thorough testing and development by its inventors, zorbing has a great record of safety. There are enough cushions inside the zorb ball to keep you safe when something accidentally happens to you.
